Pet Import Requirements in Oman
All pets need to be implanted with a microchip that are compatible with international standards ISO 11784/11785.

All animals must have full vaccinations. Dogs have to be vaccinated with: Distemper, Parvo, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, (DHLPP) and Rabies within the last year or at least 4 weeks before entry. Cats: Calicivirus, Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Panleukopenia (FVRCP) and Rabies within the last year or at least 4 weeks before entry. The vaccination stickers must be attached to the vaccine card. If your veterinarian can’t release the vaccine stickers, you will have to find one that will do this.

Applying for the import permit: Specialists from relocation companies often do this for their customers. All vaccine stickers have to be shown in order to get the import permit. Copies will be enough for obtaining the import permit, but the originals must accompany pet or it maybe sent back to the exporting country.

APHIS form 7001 issued within a week of departure is necessary. Veterinarians should have it. This is an international health certificate that needs to be completed by personal vet and sent to the USDA for the correct endorsement.

All original documents must accompany a pet during transportation.
