Pet Import Requirements in Jordan
Import of birds unless approved by the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture is prohibited. Health certificates, also in case of transit if transhipment is required.

Dogs and cats imported to Jordan must comply with import requirements listed below:
An import permit is required to import dogs and cats to Jordan.

An official veterinarian authorised by appropriate government agency of the country of origin must certify that no case of rabies has ever occurred in the country of origin. Dogs have to be vaccinated against canine parvovirus, infectious canine hepatitis and canine distemper. Cats have to be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus, and feline panleucopaenia virus.

Pets have to be treated against internal and external parasites, using praziquantel and fipronil within 4 days of the planned date of departure.

Pets must be placed in a container that meets IATA regulations.

At the time of export the animals have to be examined.
