Pet Import Requirements in Grenada
Import documentation: Import permit that provides information on age, color, sex, breed, port of entry, time of arrival and airline name; Certificate verifying the dog or cat was vaccinated against rabies within 6 weeks prior to arrival; Certificate of general health issued 2 weeks prior to arrival.

The procedure for the formal imports of animals, including pet dogs and cats is following:
1) A Veterinary officer (an officer of the Pest Management Unit of the Ministry of Agriculture) has to inspect the animal prior to entry;

2) Any person intending to import a pet, whether permanent or temporary, has to make an application sufficiently in advance to any of the abovementioned agencies.

3) Such an application must be supplemented with a copy of a certificate from the last place of residence certifying that the pet has been vaccinated against diseases and doesn't have illnesses and infections.

4) Cats and dogs that are imported permanently not from the CARICOM area are subject to a 40% CET (Common External Tariff) and 5% CSC.
