Pet Import Requirements in Barbados
An Import Permit must be received from the Chief Veterinary Officer before the importation of all pets. This Permit can be received by contacting the Veterinary Services. Veterinary Officer must examine the animal before leaving the Customs area as dogs and cats need to be communicable disease. A permit for the import and transshipment at Barbados of all dogs, cats as well as caged birds and poultry, must be obtained in advance of travel from the Ministry of Agriculture, Barbados.

Import Permit not required when transit on same aircraft. Pets cannot be removed during transit stop, but must remain on aircraft.
